Choosing between a sedan and an SUV
The honest rule is luggage, not passengers. Three adults fit comfortably in a business class sedan; three adults with three large suitcases do not. If you are flying home from a two-week trip, or travelling with ski or golf equipment, or bringing a child seat, book the SUV. It costs a little more than a sedan and considerably less than sending two cars.
When you need a Sprinter instead
Above six passengers, or above about eight pieces of luggage, the executive van and the Sprinter become both cheaper and more comfortable than a convoy. The Sprinter also has standing headroom, tables and power, which is why roadshows and long transfers use it even for smaller groups.
Stretch limousines and coaches
A stretch limousine is an occasion vehicle — weddings, proms, milestone birthdays and nights out. It is worth knowing that it is harder to get into than a sedan and cannot reach every venue laneway, so for elderly guests or a rural venue we will often recommend a Sprinter instead and say why. Mini coaches and full motor coaches cover guest shuttles, conference loops and staff movements.
